
“This weapon is by no means unsuitable. German weapons are one of the best with us. It significantly exceeds Russian weapons. And it has proven itself very well. It saves life, daily,” the ambassador emphasized.
According to him, the identification of shortcomings during operation during the war is a normal phenomenon, and a constant exchange for improving technology continues between Ukraine and Germany.
“Of course, in the conditions of the war, clues appear that it is not like this and what needs to be changed. There is an exchange between Germany and Ukraine on this subject. This is not a scandal, but the process of improvement,” Makeev said.
The diplomat added that military-technical cooperation between countries continues, and the parties are actively working on weapons adaptation to the conditions of the front.

On April 11, Spiegel, with reference to the deputy German military attache, wrote that the Ukrainian military at the front is experiencing certain difficulties with the transferred weapons from Germany, since they are probably partially suitable for warfare.
German defense Minister Boris Pistorius said that he was surprised by Spiegel, reports N-TV. He emphasized that he was conducting “a regular dialogue with our Ukrainian partners” and “unknown to him about such messages or complaints about our equipment.”
