From which parent children inherit intelligence and who transmits their emotional features and physical strength

Children inherit parents genetics, from physical appearance, intellectual capacity and to different predispositions for diseases. The intelligence, the most important resource of the 20th century, say the specialists, is transmitted exclusively by the mother.

According to the laws of genetic recombination, a child inherits both parents. These will transmit their physical features, the predisposition for certain conditions, but also the intellectual capacity. Scientific studies show that intelligence, regardless of the child's sex, is inherited from the mother. In contrast, physical features, especially robustness, aggression and later sexuality in adult life, are inherited from the father.

Intelligent as a mother

Studies have advanced and the researchers tried to answer a question often asked in society: what inherits the child from the mother and what inherits from the father? Initially, the studies were conducted on laboratory mice, and more apo, for more precise data, on tens of thousands of human subjects.

One of the most important experiments on human subjects took place in Glasgow, in Scotland, where over 12,000 young people between the ages of 14 and 22 were interviewed and tested at the IQ level, the only quantifiable coefficient of intelligence. Both mice and people were the same: children, regardless of sex, inherit their mother's intelligence. The explanations of the specialists are linked to the fact that the woman has two XX chromosomes, while the man has only one. In addition, the tests indicate that the advanced congnitive functions, inherited from the father, are automatically deactivated on the genetic line.

In contrast, the “conditioned genes” related to intelligence come exclusively from the mother. According to genetic tests, in six different areas of the child's brain, those that controlled cognitive functions, from eating habits to memory, came exclusively from the mother's genome. The test performed at Glasgow indicates the same thing: the best indicator for the child's intelligence is the mother's IQ. Obviously, the child's intelligence will usually be superior because the baby inherits only 60% of the mother's genes, and the rest is the environment, personal development or the way parents deal with the child's education.

Other studies suggest that, in addition to the native, genetic intelligence, transmitted by the mother, the influence of the woman in the child's life can be decisive for increasing the intelligence, but also the success in life in general. Researchers at Washington University have found that a close connection between mother and child from birth and an environment in which the child feels safe are crucial for the child's intellectual development.

The specialists have discovered a close connection between the feeling of protection offered by the mother in childhood and the development of some parts of the brain. During the study, an analysis was performed for seven years involving mothers with children. In the case of children whose mothers were totally emotionally involved and the intellectual needs of the child were fulfilled to find an increase in the hippocampus by 13% more than in the situation whose relationship with the mother was colder. The hippocampus is an area of the brain associated with memory, learning and stress tolerance. In addition, it has been found that a strong connection with the mother gives the child an increased confidence in solving problems and a greater lightness in the exploration of the environment.

Physical strength, emotions and aggressiveness come from father

Now the question is asked what qualities inherit the child from the father? Obviously, the father also transmits to the child many genetic characteristics. These are physical features, endurance and ability to mobilize to survive. Laboratory studies have shown that modified mice with an extra dose of maternal genes had less developed bodies, but they were smarter.

In contrast, those who had several paternal genes had the smaller brain, but more massive, better made. This is how the father has come to the child offers the child physical characteristics, but his genes are also involved in functions such as sexual, feeding and aggression. In contrast, the specialists did not find any paternal cell in the cortex area, the area where the most advanced cognitive functions are developed. However, other studies show that the father also plays a key role in unlocking some types of intelligence, in the education process, by involving the child's growth. The father is also the genes that are related to intuition and emotion.
