Romania will continue to remain the most powerful supporter of the Republic of Moldova is the message transmitted by Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu at the meeting with the representatives of the districts and the association of the Siret-Prut-Nistru Euroregion, held on Monday, April 14, at the Victoria Palace.

“As a prime minister I tell you with all the conviction that the Government of Romania will continue to support the Republic of Moldova on all levels. We will go further with the agreement of 100 million euros between the governments of our states, through which we finance concrete and impact projects for citizens. We support the objective of accession of the Republic of Moldova to the European Union. Communes of developing the transport infrastructure, energy and supporting investments, including by connecting the business environment in Romania and the Republic of Moldova, because mobility is a determining factor to support economic competitiveness ”said Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu.

According to a statement of the Executive, “the representatives of the districts of the Republic of Moldova have thank the Prime Minister Ciolacu and the Government of Romania for the solid and constant support”.

Discussions Infrastructure projects

“The representatives of the Romanian Government and those of the districts of the Republic of Moldova discussed the portfolio of common projects. An example in this regard is the start of the construction works of the bridge from Ungheni, over the Prut River, which is part of the A8 highway, on April 26. Also, another major infrastructure project, which will contribute to the Republic of Moldova. The interest discussed was the extension of the coordinated control mode that exists at the State Border Crossing Point Albița-Leușeni and other common points of the state border.the Executive also informed.

The meeting of the Victoria Palace participated, from the government, together with Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu, Deputy Prime Minister Marian Neacșu, the head of the Prime Minister's Chancellery, Stefan-Radu Oprea, as well as representatives of the ministries and government authorities.
