Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu, the leader of the PSD, held two speeches in the electoral events organized on Saturday in Bacău and Piatra Neamț for Crin Antonescu, the candidate that the Social Democrats support with PNL and UDMR at the presidential elections, and criticized on this occasion two of his counter-candidates.

“We will succeed together to have a normal president in Cotroceni, a president who will work for Romanians and Romania. I hope we are not so cursed that we have to choose between a president who cut the water and one who gave too much water,” said the PSD leader, in Bacău, with the chair, who was involved Victor Ponta these days after he admitted that in 2014, when he was a prime minister, he chose to protect Belgrade with the price of being flooded Romanian villages.

Ciolacu claims that Antonescu “will have no obligation to PSD, PNL, UDMR or minorities” even if he would become president of Romania with the support of these formations.

“Yes, I want a president for Romania to have no obligations, who do not have agreements with the political leaders. Crin Antonescu will have no obligation to any political leader who supports him at this time, because we went to Crin Antonescu. Crin Antonescu will have no obligation to PSD, Romanians ”, continued the social-democratic prime minister.

Marcel Ciolacu criticized Nicușor Dan and Victor Ponta and Piatra Neamț

The PSD leader first targeted the mayor of the capital, an independent candidate for the May elections.

“Of course I never want Nicușor Dan to be the President of Romania, especially since I am a man. I do not want to be forced to wear a skirt, especially since he has the USR now in the back,” said Marcel Ciolacu.

Then he criticized Victor Ponta, who was elected deputy on the PSD lists in the parliamentary elections on December 1, but was excluded from the party after choosing to enroll in the presidential race.

“I'm sorry for my former friend, my former colleague, I was the last of your former friends and colleagues, on the list, not yet to the opponents. Victor, I understand the political game, I understand that you need an enemy. Victor, no longer looking for enemies! You have an enemy, that enemy is Victor Ponta,”

Ciolacu told Ponta that he has no “chance” to win the presidential elections.

“You have no chance. You are not a hope. You are inconsistent. You were against Trump, you were with Biden. Now you are with Trump, you are no longer with Biden. You cannot explain to me that you are a sovereignist, but you are the only candidate with double citizenship. (…) Moldovan Highway, ”said Marcel Ciolacu.
