Tour operators swept from Krasnoyarsk to Divnogorsk by train with the legendary Swan steam locomotive

The Krasnoyarsk Railway conducted an introductory steam locomotive tour along the route Krasnoyarsk – Divnogorsk.

Its participants were representatives of the Ministry of Transport and the Tourism Agency of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, the Divnogorsk administration, tour operators, tourism business experts and the director of large museum complexes of Krasnoyarsk and Divnogorsk.

The train in which the tour participants traveled was a unique L-3435 steam locomotive (Lebedyanka). He recently returned to Krasn After a major overhaul at the factory in Troitsk.

On the way, professional guides talked about the iconic places of the route from Krasnoyarsk to Divnogorsk and its tourist capabilities.

“The Divnogorsk line is the most promising for the development of railway tourism in the Krasnoyarsk Territory. Only in 2024, about 30 thousand people traveled along the route Krasnoyarsk – Divnogorsk precisely as tourists: became participants in organized excursions. Today we have taken a step towards a new tourist project, which Krasnoyarsk residents have long been dreamed of. Our historical rolling stock presented the tourism community – the legendary steam locomotive “Lebedyanka”, ”said Eduard Bykov, deputy head of the Krasnoyarsk railway on passenger transportation.

The trip participants discussed the prospects and conditions for the implementation of the new joint tourist project using the composition on the steam traction on the Krasnoyarsk -Divnogorsk line. At the same time, it was noted that the creation of a new tourist product is possible when combining the efforts of all interested parties – the railway, regional authorities and tour operators.

“In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, great attention is paid to the issues of tourism development. A trip on a steam locomotive along this route can be a new tourist offer for residents and guests of the region. This is especially true in preparation for the 400-year anniversary of Krasnoyarsk, which will be held in 2028, ”said Ksenia Poddubnaya, head of the tourism agency for tourism in the Krasnoyarsk Territory.

Representatives of the tourism industry expressed confidence that such projects would help attract tourists from all over the country to the Krasnoyarsk region.
