Asked if he was consulted regarding Marcel Ciolacu's decision to send him a emissary to the US, Hurezeanu replied “No”.

He stated that he does not receive money from Romania and that he is not an employee of the Government of Romania.
“If I had a mandate to lobby, there was a contract and I had to be paid. I did it and because I love my country. I sent these messages that were asked from Mr. Ciolacu's office,” said the eyebrow.
