The CSO Voluntari men's basketball team defeated this evening, in the semifinals of the Final Four of the European North Basketball League (ENBL), the Inter Bratislava band, with 107-103 (68-49), thus obtaining the qualification in the final of the competition, as in 2024.
The main scorers of the match were Cousins 36 points, Caruthers 22, Gunn 18, for Inter Bratislava, this year's Final Four host, and Edler Davis 24, Justice 20, Skinner 17, for the Ilfovean team.
CSO Voluntari will play the final tomorrow, with the winner between Newcastle Eagles and Dziki Warsaw. Tomorrow the small final will be played tomorrow.
CSO Voluntari qualified in the semifinals after achieving the following results: 103-83 with Dziki Warsaw, 89-83 with Donar Groningen, 104-80 with Spisski Rytieri, 88-67 with Opava BK, 80-84 with Newcastle Eagles, 113-64 with Tartu Ulikool, 83-84 with Valmiera and Valmie. 118-80 with Spartak Pleven (Group A), 95-81 and 102-87 with Legia Warsaw (quarters of final).
CSO Voluntari played the first season in the premiere in ENBL and reached the final, won by Bakken Bears, a team from the Danish city of Aarhus.
In the 2024-2025 season of the ENBL, in which 18 teams from 12 countries started, the Dinamo Bucharest band also evolved, which ended 7th in Group B.
