Former President Traian Basescu published on Monday, on Facebook, a new message for Marcel Ciolacu, most likely with reference to Dragoș Sprînceană, the businessman sent by the prime minister to the US to talk to the Trump administration.
“Hello, Mr. Premier! Allow a suggestion … Tate brothers … What do you say? Don't get angry,” Traian Basescu wrote on Facebook. In an hour of publication, the posting of the former president has collected over 3.7 thousand reactions, 460 comments and over 170 distributions.
The post of Traian Basescu was published a few minutes before Marcel Ciolacu reacts for the first time to the controversial statements of his envoy in the US Dragoș Sprîncean, whom the prime minister said he is not his “emissary”.
Marcel Ciolacu named Traian Basescu “Political Rebut” and said he is an “ordinary founder”
The message also comes after an intense exchange of replies between Ciolacu and Basescu, which took place on Friday, also on Facebook. The former president wrote that “the only thing Ciolacu can do for the country is to resign.” Then there were several messages on Facebook between the two.
At the message about the resignation, the head of the Government replied, through a Facebook post, in which he sprinkled invective such as “ordinary founder” or “political rebellion”.
Ciolacu's virulent reaction was caused by a post of Basescu in which he blamed the PSD leader for leading Romania to a “multiple crisis” and listed the symptoms of this crisis.
The prime minister's reply also came to Facebook, addressing the former president with the name Petrov, the conspiracy name with which Băsescu signed the informative notes for communist security.
