Alba, restaurant, photographer, gift for the parish. How much does it cost to organize the First Communion?

First Holy Communion is certainly an important religious experience for a child, but also a great organizational challenge for his parents or guardians. In addition, it can be quite an expensive undertaking. We checked how much you need to spend that this event was a nice memory for the whole family.

Usually, buy the right outfit for the first communion expenses. Alby are currently very popular. Their prices for boys start from around PLN 130 for short versions and from 150 too long. Girls' models are usually slightly more expensive – usually above PLN 150. However, most costs from 180 PLN up. You have to pay more for a communion dress. The cheapest expenditure is just over PLN 200. However, parents with much more wealthier wallets can also opt for models exceeding up to 2,000. zloty. Prices, communion shoes for both girls and boys is an expense from PLN 50 and up.

Book, rosary and photographer

Among the fees that should also be included is the purchase of a service book (several zlotys), a rosary (from 10 to 70 PLN) and a candle (from 7 to 30 PLN). A commemorative communion picture is an expense from 20 to 40 PLN.

Parents usually also make up the decoration of the church (usually from 80 to 150 PLN) and a gift for the parish where communion takes place. Here, the cost depends on the number of children joining the sacrament and the arrangements between carers.

– We decided that we would add to the purchase of a sculpture that is to be purchased for our church – says Katarzyna, mother of a boy who goes to communion this year in one of the parishes in Wrocław. – That is why we make up PLN 100 for this purpose.

Expenses also need to include a fee for photographer's services. There is often one professional who deals with it so that parents and guests can focus only on the ceremony. Here, the price depends mainly on the offer the organizers will choose. It usually starts from PLN 100 per person.

Even a dozen or so thousand for communion reception?

The organization of a communion party is usually a much larger expense. Some parents decide to invite guests home. However, most are looking for a restaurant for this occasion, where together with family and friends you will be able to celebrate without burdening the responsibilities related to the preparation of meals for many people. According to information provided on Internet forums, prices depending on the city and class of the premises start from PLN 150 per person.

“You have to enter and ask at home in the city, because there is a very big difference between cities. In our country in Silesia (around Bielsko), the differences are huge from PLN 150-300 for the basic menu (dinner, coffee, cake, cold record). It depends on the restaurant” – wrote on the forum for parents Mrs. Daria.

In turn, Mrs. Klaudia from Żnin announced that she pays PLN 250 there for one guest. Here the price also includes dough, fruit, ice cream dessert and 2 liters of drink per person and dinner, and an animator is provided for children.

However, Mrs. Barbara from Oława will cost PLN 270 per person. At this price there is broth, 5 types of meats, starters, cakes, hot and cold drinks, as well as an inflatable castle for the youngest.

One of the mothers boasted that she was organizing a family meeting in a village common room. “The cook gives us a shopping list, and she takes PLN 40 per person for cooking,” she wrote.

More wealthy parents can also decide on an elegant party, e.g. in a few -star hotel, where prices start from PLN 350 per person.

The restaurant is reserved a year earlier?

It turns out that if the guardians of a communion child would now like to reserve a place in a restaurant to celebrate this special occasion, they can already have a big problem with it. Unfortunately, this is not possible in many places.

– Our places for communion parties end in early autumn, as soon as the dates of this event in individual parishes are given – says Bankier.pl Barbara, the owner of one of the popular Poznań restaurants. – It is also rare for someone to cancel such a reservation later.

So that the children would not be bored

To make the youngest guests more attractive, parents sometimes also decide to involve the animator. Here the rates depend, among others From the number of children and the hours during which organized entertainment is to be provided.

In the price list of the company organizing such attractions in Warsaw and Zgierz, the price for 2 hours of fun, in which he participates up to 12 participants is PLN 500. However, if the time extends to 4 hours and there will be more children, you will have to pay PLN 1050 for this service. You can also decide on additional attractions, such as painting faces (from 100 to 150 PLN), glitter tattoos (60-80 PLN), twisting balloons (60-80 PLN), stand with cotton candy (100 PLN) or a photo booth (PLN 500).

On the other hand, in Krakow you can rent one animator for PLN 750 for three hours, and two from PLN 950 for a maximum of 12 children. The price here include Modeling balloons, huge soap bubbles, materials necessary for fun and access in the city.

It all depends on the fantasy and wealth of parents

Therefore, how much the first communion of the child will cost is largely dependent on how parents plan to celebrate this event. It can be both a modest party at home, but you can also spend a dozen or several dozen thousand zlotys by organizing a large party with attractions in a renowned restaurant. It all depends on the number of guests, preferences of the child's parents, and above all the wealth of their wallet.
