Earthquake on Kamchatka. A warning against tsunami was issued


The hypocenter of shock was at a depth of 10 km. For now, there is no information about damage or victims.
According to the authorities of the region, the shock magnitude was 7.2, and all emergency services were put into the highest readiness.

Last Saturday, September 13, there was an earthquake with a magnitude 7.4 at the east coasts of the Kamchatka Peninsula.
Kamchatka lies in the pacific ring of fire – one of the most vulnerable parts of the world. It is an area surrounding the Pacific Ocean, where numerous earthquakes and volcanic eruption often occur. The belt lies at the interface of tectonic plates and it is in such areas that the strongest earthquakes are usually recorded.
