The Russian government suggests that drones violated the airspace of Poland by mistake, and the Russian ambassador at the UN claims that they could not physically reach Poland – noted Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski. Which Russian lie should we believe in? he asked rhetorically.

On Friday late in the evening, an extraordinary meeting of the UN Security Council on the invasion of Russian drones into the Polish airspace was convened at the request of Poland. It was the first meeting in the history of the Council organized in this formula regarding Poland, although Poland has been a co -trainer of the RB debates in the past many times, including on Russian aggression against Ukraine.
Our country was represented by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Marcin Bosacki, who declared that a violation of Polish airspace was a violation of international law and a destabilizing escalation of the conflict. The Russian side, however, repeated the translation that Russia's goal was not Poland, and the range of Russian drones prevents them from reaching our country.
The Russian Government Suggests that Russian Drones Breated Poland's Airspace by Mistake While the Russian Un Ambassador Claims IT's A Physical Impossibility For Russian Drones to Reach Poland.

In the post on Platform X, the head of Polish diplomacy, Radosław Sikorski assessed that Russia presents two contradictory versions of violation of Polish aircraft. “The Russian government suggests that Russian drones have violated Poland's airspace by mistake, while the Russian ambassador at the UN claims that Russian drones cannot physically reach Poland,” noted the deputy prime minister. “Which Russian lie should we believe in?” he spoke.
Marcin Kierwiński, Minister of Interior and Administration, also referred to the meeting of the UN Security Council.
“The debate on the UN forum was a feast of truth. The Russian message of hatred and lies was crushed by Marcin Bosacki,” wrote Kierwiński.
On the night of Tuesday to Wednesday, the operational command of the Armed Forces types reported that during the night attack of the Russian Federation to Ukraine, the Polish airspace was repeatedly violated by drones. As emphasized, “this is an act of aggression that created a real threat to the safety of our citizens.” Defense procedures were immediately launched at the order of the RSZ operational commander.
Those drones that pose a direct threat were shot down by Polish and allied aviation – this is the first time in the modern history of Poland, when the air forces used weapons in the air space of the country.
The head of the Presidential International Policy Office Marcin informed on Friday that, according to the President's office, the Polish border crossed 21, not 19 Russian drones. These reports were confirmed by the head of the Ministry of National Defense Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz. – On Thursday I passed information about 19 airspace violations in the Sejm. Later there was information from the army, after another analysis that there could have been 21 airspace violations – he noted. (PAP)
