Start on day two of the Romanian Tour
The second stage of the Romanian Tour 2025 was announced from the beginning as a decisive one, with a legendary ascent in the Bucegi Mountains. But before the climbers went out on the ramp on the hard slopes and the tight turns of the Dichiu step, they had to travel 172 km, after the start of Pitesti.

Cesare Chesini has imposed after a fight in three
With the decisive end of climbing approaching the horizon, Leonardo Consolidani, Matthias Gusner, Nikiforos Arvanitou, Christian Bagatin, Mario Silva, Matthew Dodd and Conn McDunphy had no more than a minute advance, and eventually they were caught by the last day.
Five kilometers before the end, Colin Stüssi launched a powerful attack on his own, but it turned out to be too early, because Philipp Hofbauer and Cesare Chesini gradually managed to reduce the Swiss.
In the final sprint in the climb, Chesini proved the fastest of the three, celebrating the victory on Pass Dichiu and becoming the new leader of the Romanian Tour 2025.
