Trump extended sanctions against the Russian Federation, introduced by Biden, including for the disrespect of territorial integrity


The document signed by Trump is called: “Continuing the action of a state of emergency in relation to a certain harmful foreign activity of the Government of the Russian Federation.”

“I am extending a state of emergency in the country, announced in the presidential decree of 14024,” it says.

Decree 14024 was signed on April 15, 2021, now the former US President Joe Biden, it is about “blocking property” in connection with the harmful foreign economic activity of the Government of the Russian Federation.

Trump decided that after April 15, 2025, a state of emergency in the United States and sanctions for such “harmful actions of the Government of the Russian Federation abroad” should remain in force:

  • attempts to undermine the conduct of free and fair democratic elections and democratic institutions in the USA and its allies and partners;
  • participation and promotion of malicious actions using cyberspace against the United States and its allies and partners;
  • encouraging and using transnational corruption to influence foreign governments;
  • the implementation of extraterritorial activities directed against dissidents or journalists;
  • Break of safety in countries and regions important for US national security;
  • Violation of generally recognized principles of international law, including respect for the territorial integrity of states.
