Ukraine signed with partners about 30 documents regarding security guarantee, but they are not enough to prevent any potential threats after the war – said the President of Ukraine Wołodymyr Zelnski on Wednesday.

“As for security guarantees: we have about 30 documents regarding security guarantee, but they are different and help only during the war. We expect the support of some countries, taking into account bilateral relations, but now, when we talk about security guarantees from countries, we need more than these documents,” said Zelanski during a press conference with the premiere of Denmark Mette Frederiksen.
According to him, legally binding safety guarantees are needed. “We would not like to bear any risk after this war for Ukraine, for the security of Europe, regardless of who will be the leader of a given country,” the president emphasized.
Earlier on Friday, Zelanski stated that Ukraine wants security guarantees from European countries and the US to be supported by parliaments, and in the USA – by Congress. The head of the state emphasized that Ukraine is expecting legally binding security guarantees and does not agree to the Budapest Memorandum or Minsk agreements, but demands serious contracts. (PAP)
