Kim Jong Un goes to Beijing. He travels by an armored train

Kim Jong Un set off to Beijing from Pyongyang on Monday. It is estimated that it will soon reach the place.

The Korean leader moves with a characteristic train, which is referred to as “fortresses”. The vehicle is bulletproof and armored, at the same time it does not reach dizzying speeds. It moves at a maximum of 60 km per hour. As a result, the journey on the Pyongyang-Pekin line takes about 20 hours.

Experts estimate that the train, compared to the already aging fleet of North Korean passenger aircraft, ensure greater comfort and safety. They also guarantee more space for numerous officials or bodyguards. The railway has been chosen by the leaders of this country for decades.

According to the media, the father of Kim Jong Una, former North Korean leader Kim Jong Il was afraid of flying, so he only traveled by train at long distances. His son, however, did not inherit this fear from him, because he flew around the world many times. However, this does not change the fact that the railway has become the preferred means of transport of Kim Jong Una.

During the Tuesday parade, China XI Jinping, in addition to Kim Jong Una, will be joined by 25 other world leaders. Russian President Vladimir Putin will also be among them.

This is the first multilateral event in which North Korean leader participates during his 14-year rule, and also the first time all the greatest rivals of the United States meet in one place.
