A powerful price jump. The Russians pay payday loans for school layettes


According to the Russian website Gazeta.ru, this year as much as 4.6 percent. All microcredits granted in July and August in Russia will be allocated to expenses related to buying a layette for students. For comparison, in 2024, the Russians took payday loans in 3.3 percent. cases, and in the period from the beginning of July to the end of August 2023 – in just 2.6 percent.
It is also worth noting that in 2025 the Russians began preparations for school earlier than usual. In July, 65 percent were enlisted More educational loans than in August, which is the opposite of the trend from previous years. The Russians are trying to provide children with backpacks, textbooks and stationery in advance. At the same time, many still prefer to buy school uniforms closer on September 1 to better match them with size.

As RBC.ru writes, citing Super Job prices, the costs of purchasing school products for students in Russia are growing from year to year. From 2019, the costs of preparing a child for school have increased one and a half times. In Moscow, the average cost of preparing a child for school was 19.2 thousand. rubles (approx. PLN 866).
According to the SW Research study, this year almost half of the parents in Poland (48 percent) plan to spend on a school layette up to PLN 500 per student. Almost every third envisages a larger budget – from 501 to 700 PLN, and every fifth – even over 700 PLN.
