Interlop on the Most Wanted list, who hit a policeman with a sword in the head, was brought to the country

The 37 -year -old man from Suceava was internationally prosecuted to atone for almost 13 years in prison and included in the Most Wanted category, was extradited from Norway, according to News.ro and TVR Info. In 2017, during a search at his home, he hit a policeman with a sword, causing him serious injuries.

“On August 22, 2025, the Romanian Police brings to the country a 37 -year -old man from Suceava, followed from the category Most Wanted. He was followed internationally for committing outrage crimes, attempted murder and human trafficking, being sentenced to 12 years and 8 months in prison,” the Romanian Police announced on Thursday.

The man was brought from Norway and incarcerated, in order to execute the prison sentence.

According to the quoted source, on June 17, following the joint operative activities carried out by the Romanian Police, through the Directorate of Criminal Investigation – the Following Service – IGPR and the Criminal Investigation Service – the Following Department – IPJ Suceava, and the Norwegian authorities, by accessing the cooperation channels and on the basis of the informative support, was arrested, and on the basis of the informative support, was arrested, and on the basis of the informative support, a 37 -year -old man.

The wounds were so serious that there were fears that he would not survive, according to TVR Info.

Also, in 2017, he forced a person to sell sachets with prohibited substances, this being seized and under the supervision of another person, in an apartment in Iasi.

Subsequently, given the legislative changes and the fact that the convicted person was stolen from the execution of the sentence, the police have drawn up a new criminal file for escape, to be resolved procedurally through the competent parquet unit.

In order to exploit the information obtained in the search, follow-up and arrest activity of the man, the police officers from the Criminal Investigation Directorate has triggered an Enphast operation in which they benefited from the support of the units of Germany, France and Spain, and for its arrest they cooperated directly with the Police Structure from the Police.
