“I think that the City Hall of Bucharest is capable of managing the National Arena very well and I tell you why: if they were included in a complex sports infrastructure, they would have more possibilities to develop relationships with external partners, to be used either as a sports arena, or at certain times, for shows,”
He also said that the City Hall does not follow the arena to make a profit, but to diminish the losses: “How do we do, economically, that an arena to work and be profitable? First of all, do we wonder if the initial purpose was that the arena is profitable? No. But the objective is that the losses should be limited over time.”
