– Of course, these events are outrageous. Even as the president of the Institute of National Remembrance, I was involved in the preparation of the draft amendment to the Act on the Institute of National Remembrance and expanding the catalog of prosecuted symbols, also with a red and black flag. This should be done in Poland – replied President Nawrocki. He also added that the regulations in this matter are in the Sejm and count on the fact that the parliamentary majority will finally accept them.
– Banderian symbols in Polish public space, also in Ukrainian, outrage me, but this is a different state, but in Polish public space they are unacceptable. And we should react in a very strong way to this type of thing, excreting such people from Poland – he noted.
The president positively referred to the decision of Prime Minister Donald Tusk, who announced on Tuesday that in connection with this case, proceedings were initiated to leave the country. – If such a decision was made, then such a decision is good – said Nawrocki.

He also stipulated that regardless of possible provocations, a firm reaction and historical education are necessary. – We are aware that in Ukraine Banderian symbols, also in universal education, are not described in such a way that complies with historical research. They were murderers, degenerates, you also have to say that, who are responsible for the death of about 120,000 also our fellow citizens, our ancestors – he said.
He also added that in an interview with the President of Ukraine, Wołodylym Zelnski, he had already raised the subject of the meaning of historical issues for Polish-Ukrainian relations. – This thread appeared in our conversation, but with the next meeting, if there is a format in which I can say about it, I see no problem to mention it – he added.
