The current price of a passenger car testing is PLN 98 and has not been updated since 2004 – we suggest that the realization for a technical examination of a passenger car is about PLN 50 more, i.e. up to PLN 149. Fees for other types of research will increase proportionally – explained Stanisław Bukowiec.
As the deputy minister emphasized, When setting new rates, the ministry adopted as a reference point 2020, and the calculations were based on inflation indicators. He reminded that organizations of vehicle control station owners have been called for many years to adapt the amount of this fee to the current conditions, but for over two decades the topic remained unsolved.

Stanisław Bukowiec pointed out that If the rates were regularly valorized, the problem would not occur.
– By accepting the postulates of entrepreneurs from the vehicle control station industry, however, we cannot not take into account the interests of Polish drivers who are obliged to review their vehicle each year. The most important goal we set for ourselves when changing the regulation was was Maintaining a balance between the interests of entrepreneurs and the interests of Polish drivers “Balance, which will allow you to breathe vehicle control stations, but will not balance Poles' portfolios, car owners too much,” he explained.
The deputy minister also noted that the current rates of technical research in Poland were among the lowest in Europe, and after the increase they will still be lower than in Germany, Italy, Slovakia or Estonia. The new prices will be similar to the level in force, among others in Hungary, Finland, Portugal and Greece.
