“Would be in Kyiv in 4 hours.” Trump shared his version why the Russian Federation did not capture the capital of Ukraine

He recalled that during his first presidential period he decided to provide Ukraine with Javelin anti -tank complexes.

“Thanks to me, the tanks were destroyed in the early days of the war because the tanks were stuck in the mud. They could get to Kyiv in four hours along the highway, but the Russian general made a brilliant decision – to drive through agricultural lands. But there were pouring rains, and the tanks were stuck in the mud,” he said.

Trump added that he did not know what kind of general he was, but knowing the illegitimate president of the aggressor of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, he is sure that he did not remain in his position.

Context

The Russian Federation unleashed a war against Ukraine in 2014, when she occupied Crimea and parts of the Donetsk and Lugansk regions. On February 24, 2022, Russia began a full-scale invasion of Ukraine from the northern, eastern and southern directions. In the spring of the same year, the Ukrainian army discovered the north of the country, in the fall – units of the Kharkov and Kherson regions, including Kherson.
