The president of the Supreme Pharmaceutical Council, Marek Tomków, emphasizes that pharmacies should be excluded from the deposit system, regardless of the assortment. “Putting pharmacies into one bag with grocery stores is a misunderstanding” – noted the president of NRA in an interview with PAP. Tomków points out that the law does not allow reimbursement to pharmacies, including drugs and dietary supplements, and even more empty beer bottles.
He added that the list of rooms included in the Pharmacy premises is very precisely specified in the regulation. – There is no place indicated for storing dirty and old bottles or recycling containers – said the president of NRA. Tomków said that pharmacies would give up the sale of products covered by the deposit system. “It will be the simplest solution,” he added.
Will we give a beer bottles in the pharmacy? Controversial records cause objection
At the same time, the emotions are faded by Dr. Wojciech Rożdżyński, assistant professor at the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Warsaw, a specialist in medical and pharmaceutical law. “Pharmacies cannot sell beer, so there is practically no threat that there will be bottles of this alcoholic beverages in connection with the Caition System,” said Rożdżeński in an interview with PAP.
He also added that the need to accept a beer bottle would theoretically be possible at a pharmacy area over 200 sq m, because only then the deposit system will be mandatory for the pharmacy. “For smaller pharmacies it will be voluntary, and there are very few branches with such a large area,” said Rożdżyński.

One of the authors of the petition to the minister of climate is a pharmacist from Świebodzin, who works in a public pharmacy. “I can't imagine a situation in which a pharmacy – a place where medicines are stored and health services – customers bring dirty bottles and cans” – wrote the pharmacist. The appeal also applies to the abandonment of all plans to cover the packaging of medicines, dietary supplements and medical devices.
