The tragedy took place on Saturday, August 9. The 57-year-old bathed around the popular Nawajo beach, which is located at the northwestern end of the island of Zakynthos. According to the Greek daily “Kathimerini”, a tourist from Poland to the beach came with Łódź. At some point, while bathing in the sea, he suddenly lost consciousness and began to melt.

Persons nearby immediately rushed to help the Pole. They quickly pulled him ashore and gave first aid, waiting for the boat. When she came, she took the 57-year-old back to the port. From there he was sent to a local hospital.
However, his life could not be saved. Doctors found death. At the moment, it is not known why a 57-year-old tourist from Poland lost consciousness. The initial investigation into the tragedy is conducted by the port station in Agios Nikolaos.
