The terrorist group Hamas stated on Saturday that it would not lay down their arms as long as the Independent Palestinian State would not arise with the capital in Jerusalem.
In the issued statement, Hamas announced: The armed resistance “cannot cease except for the full restoration of our national rights, including mainly the establishment of an independent, fully sovereign Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital.”
This declaration was submitted on the day of the visit of the special envoy of the US President Donald Trump, Steve Witkoff, in Tel Aviv, where he met with the families of hostages detained in the Gaza Zone by Hamas.
Witkoff told the gathered that both the majority of Israelis and the inhabitants of Gaza want to return hostages to their homes.
