President Erdogan praises Palestine's recognition plans. “It's very valuable”


– We believe that recent humanitarian reactions from Europe, especially France and Great Britain, are very valuable. We are satisfied with every step towards recognition of the Palestinian state – said the Turkish leader. – One of the most effective answers to the Israeli genocide policy is the support of a two -state solution based on the 1967 borders – he added.
Turkish authorities have been calling for years to create an independent Palestine within 1967, with the capital in Eastern Jerusalem. A day later, Canada also announced that in September it would recognize the Palestinian state, and on Thursday the office of the Prime Minister of Portugues Luis Montenegro announced consideration of such a possibility.
Turkish president announced that “in the coming days he would work on increasing the pressure on the Israeli government.” – We will make our brothers and sisters in the Gaza Zone feel even stronger that they are not alone – he assured. “We will double our efforts to ensure a suspension of weapons in the region as soon as possible and establish a lasting room,” Erdogan added. The president emphasized that Turkey's priority is to provide humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip.
