On the competitive weekend in Bahrain (April 11-13), a crucial meeting will take place to establish the technical rules of the next generation of engines in Formula 1, starting with 2028.
FIA president, Mohammed Ben Sulayem, proposed the return to V10 engines with biofuel and fiercely defends his idea, looking actively among the motor providers. It is believed that those from Ferrari and Red Bull are inclined to support Ben Sulayem's idea, although for different reasons.

For the Italians, a possible return to V10 is rather an emotional one, having a historical context. These represent a direct connection with their series production, but also with their tradition as a car manufacturer, while for Red Bull, Problems with the new propulsion system threaten to become a heavy burden in the next competitive season.
At the same time Honda, Mercedes and Audi oppose return to V10 enginesbut this position was formed as a result of individual statements, as there are still clearly defined alliances or decisions.
