After a complicated season at all levels, Pep Guardiola (54 years old) returned to England to prepare Manchester City's pre-Season, which will start later due to participation in the World Club Champion, and surprised with his new look.

On Sunday, the day before the preparations began, the Spanish technician decided to leave his mustache, showing that he wants to change things for season 2025/26, both on the field and outside, hoping for a happier end for “citizens”.

Guardiola has a new “look” for the new season

The first official match is scheduled for August 16, away to Wolverhampton, Vitor Pereira's team, in the first stage of Premier League. Prior to this match, City has a single friendly in Italy, against Palermo, a week before.

The photos with Guardiola's new look around the social networks, and many were impressed.

A fan wrote: “You can't say simply” Pep Guardiola has now a mustache “and expect to see our lives. It's wow.” Another said: “Premier League is not prepared for a chel and mustache PEP”.

Guardiola's decision to leave his mustache comes just over four years after opening the beard of a reporter during a press conference. In February 2021, the Spaniard told TNT Sports correspondent, Fred Caldeira: “I really like your mustache, Fred. You are so attractive and sexy.”

Manchester City is in the process of reconstruction

Manchester City is in the process of reconstruction after a disappointing season, without any trophy, after eight years. So far, during this period of Mercato, Manchester City has transferred five players: Reijnders, Ait-Nori, Cherki, Betinelli and Nypan. On the other hand, they left Bruyne, Yan Couto, Walker and Veteran Scott Carson, and the arrival of James Trafford is being prepared to take Ederson or Ortega.

After spending almost 130 million euros on transfers, the “citizens” are ready to sell four other players – Jack Grealish, Ilkay Gundogan, John Stones and Kalvin Phillips.

“Currently, we have a large lot, we have too many players. We cannot have 26 or 27 players for one season, because many of them will not play. Then I have too many options. But I do not like 6 or 7 players must stay at home. They will be unhappy during the season and they will feel discouraged or frustrated.”

The future of 11 other players is also uncertain. Ederson, Rico Lewis, Vitor Reis, Abdukodir Chusanov, Nico O'reilly, Mateo Kovacic, Nico Gonzalez, Matheus Nunes, Claudio Echeverri, James Mcatee and Oscar Bobb could leave Manchester City in case of good offers.
