The men's volleyball team has completed the second game Week of the League of Nations-2025 with a loud victory under the crazy pressure of the stand over the owners-the Bulgaria national team-1: 3 (25:20, 19:25, 24:26, 22:25).
But this victory is only the final chord of the impressive week that forced the volleyball world to talk about Ukraine.
🔥 We have broken Turkey (3-0)-a team that is consistently included in the top 15 world ranking and has powerful legionnaires. Victory without the loss of any set showed the class and discipline of Ukrainians.
🔥 We have overcome Japan (3: 2) – a finalist last year's League of Nations, one of the most organized and dynamic teams in the world. After the first set, the national team of Ukraine not only did not give up, but showed character, confidently winning the next two parties. And even when Japan leveled the score, our volleyball players retained the cold-bloodedness in the Tai Breika-15:13.
🔥 We won Bulgaria (3: 1) – the owners of the second game week who played at home with the maximum support of the stands. Against pressure, against emotions, against experience – we stood and won.
💥 In just eight matches of the tournament, Ukrainians have five victories – among them there are already sensational rods over the volleyball giants of the United States (at the start of the tournament) and Cuba, which is one of the strongest attacking teams in the world.
🎯 These results allowed Ukraine:
– climb 5th place in the League Nations Tournament Table
– score 15 points after 8 matches
– To go to historic 12th place in the world volleyball ranking
-confidently consolidated in the struggle for access to the playoffs
This achievement is not just important, but landmark. This is the first season of Ukraine in the League of Nations. The first is a breakthrough at once. This breakthrough was also possible thanks to the outstanding work of Raul Losano's head coach, who was able to build a cohesive and competitive team in a short time.
