Three men and a woman, detained for sexual exploitation of some young people in western Europe
The prosecutors of the Directorate for the Investigation of Organized Crime and Terrorism Offenses – the central structure ordered the detention of three men and a woman, members of the same families, aged 18, 30, 53 and 54.

The four are investigated for committing offenses by setting up an organized criminal group, human trafficking, in continuous form and pimping, in a continuous form.
According to DIICOT, starting with 2016, three of the defendants constituted, on family criteria, an organized crime group, which subsequently adhered to another defendant, specialized in the recruitment of young people, in order to exploit sexual, by forcing or facilitating the practice of prostitution, prepondeingly on the territory of Austria (in the regions of Austria, and in Germany, and in Germany, in Germany) Switzerland.
“Thus, between 2016-2025, through social networks, the defendants recruited several victims (by the Loverboy method) and taking advantage of their obvious vulnerability (poor material situation, single-parent families, reduced level of education), transported and housed in the locations in Western Europe, where, through the physical and psychic, for the material benefit of the group.
By submitting the victims to inhuman and degrading treatments, the members of the organized crime group have inoculated them the conviction that they would belong to the group, thus creating a state of psychological subordination. In this way, they managed to obtain substantial useful materials, causing the victims to remit, directly or through interposed persons, the amounts of money obtained. In some cases, the members of the group personally collected the earnings made by the injured persons, which they subsequently transferred to Romania, to the defendant investigated in this case ”announces DIICOT.
The evidence administered also revealed that the injured persons who tried to give up prostitution were physically assaulted and threatened to continue their activity, for the material benefit of the defendants.
As a result of the searches carried out on Thursday, in the Ilfov and Dâmbovița counties, three cars were discovered and raised, on which the insurance seizure, money in lei and euros, documents, as well as other means of proof.
On Friday, the judge of rights and freedoms within the Bucharest Court was notified with the proposal for preventive arrest of the defendants, for a period of 30 days.
The judicial activities are carried out together the policemen of the Directorate for Combating Organized Crime – the Fighting Service of the Organized Crime Groups.
The action benefited from the support of the gendarmes within the special intervention brigade of the Gendarmerie.
