Apple tried to stock up a stock of iPhone, quickly bringing a large number of devices to the United States before Donald Trump announces the new imports.

According to Times of India, quoted by News.ro, the operation took place in the last week of March, given that the taxes for imports became more and more certain.

In just three days, Apple transported from India to the United States five planes full of iPhone in a time when, normally, the number of phones brought to the country to be sold would not have been at the highest level.

This means Apple has prepared even earlier. Most likely, the American company ordered the increase of the production rate several months before, in order to have such a large stock.

Once arrived in the United States, the five iPhone planes would be exempted from import taxes to be applied including for countries from which Apple takes their components and performs assemblies.

Analysts estimate that, in the current form, Trump's taxes could add hundreds of dollars to the iPhone selling price. There is also the possibility that the taxes will be reduced as a result of negotiations or Apple will benefit from an exemption.

According to analysts consulted by Reuters, products such as iPhone could be among the most affected, with 30% -40% increases if Apple will transfer costs to consumers.

Most iPhone are still produced in China, a country that are experiencing a 54%trump tariff, and it could increase. The US president has given a Beijing ultimatum, threatening to impose an additional rate if he does not give up the reprisals taken from the US.
