A piece of paper saved their lives. Mother and child were lost in the USA

Camp Wolfeboro is a summer educational program in the USA that combines elements of summer camp and school. He offers school -age youth, developing skills and play in a friendly camp environment. A mother and a 9-year-old son set off for one of these camps on July 10.
At one point, telephone contact broke off with them, and the concerned family and organizers of Camp Wolfeboro reported the disappearance of a woman and her child. American services began an immediate search, but its conduct was difficult due to the lack of coverage in the field where it took place.
A piece of paper applied with a stone saved their lives
A breakthrough, allowing to narrow the search area, turned out to be a conversation with people staying at one of the campsites. They testified that several hours earlier they saw a vehicle corresponding to the appearance of the one who was wanted. This allowed American services to find a trail.

A card asking for help
At one of the intersections, service officers found a card applied with a stone. “Help. Me and my son got stuck without coverage and we cannot call 911. We are on the road on the right. Please call 911 to help us. Thank you!” – There was a handwritten entry on a piece of paper with a stone. Similar notes were at the next intersections. The determination of the services finally allowed to reach a woman and child. It turned out that the mother followed the route after the GPS indications, which led her to the remote, side roads. At some point, the GPS signal disappeared and the family lost its orientation deep in the forest.

Vehicle found deep in the forest
American services also praised a woman and her child for the ability to survive in difficult conditions. “They left notes at intersections, used emergency lights at night and relied on the basic survival skills. Interestingly, the young boy used short whistles to signal his location, the officers informed” – emphasizes Fox News.
