In the last stage of the past edition of the championship, the two bands drew in Transylvania, score 1-1. Now, FCSB and CFR Cluj meet again, this time for the Romanian Super Cup, the first trophy of the season. The match is scheduled this evening, from 8:00 pm, on the Steaua Stadium.
According to statistical data, FCSB has 7 supercrete, the last one conquered last year. On the other hand, CFR Cluj won the trophy in four lines, the most recent in 2021.
In the previous season of Superliga, three of the four direct matches between FCSB and CFR Cluj ended. The only victory belonged to Bucharest, 3-2 in the play-off, on their own ground. Another important detail is that all direct confrontations have recorded goals in both gates.
But these figures are not accidental, given that FCSB and CFR Cluj have finished on the first two positions of the standings. However, the band coached by Elias Charalambous has won the title with a 9 -point advance. CFR Cluj comes in this confrontation from the position of winner of the Romanian Cup.
The champion of the last two seasons has a program loaded in the next period. On July 9, FCSB will face the Inter Ecaldes formation in Andorra, in the Champions League preliminaries, and on July 12 will debut in the new superlig season, on their own ground, against those from Hermannstadt.
During the training period, FCSB played only two friendly matches: 3-2 with Almere City and 3-1 with Utrecht. It should be noted that he scored three goals in both parties, but also that he failed to keep his gate in any of the games.
On the other hand, CFR Cluj played four friendly parties and had a very good balance: 4-2 with Slovan Bratislava (Slovakia), 2-2 with Grazer AK (Austria), 3-0 with Ceske Budejovice (Czech Republic) and 2-0 with Debrecen (Hungary).

For this evening match, FCSB will not be able to count on Bîrligea, Dawa and Octavian Popescu. In the Transylvanian camp, the list of absentees is longer: Louis Munteanu, Beni Nkololo, Matei Ilie, Meroton Korenica and Simao Rocha will not be able to evolve.
