Prosecutors have discovered important amounts of money following the searches carried out in the file regarding the illegal issuance of Romanian identity documents for citizens from Russia, Ukraine and the Republic of Moldova. Over 76,000 euros and 27,000 lei were raised by the authorities.

Officials involved in falsifying identity

The investigation concerns a well -organized network, in which four civil servants supported foreign citizens to obtain illegally Romanian identity documents. According to the General Inspectorate of Border Police (IGPF), “The beneficiaries were taken in space for amounts of money, about 100 euros per person, in immovable buildings or in buildings that in reality does not exist ”.

In this case, two officials from a local community public service for the records of the people were detained for 24 hours, and the other two are under judicial control.

Documents in white and fictitious home

Following the 93 searches carried out on Thursday in Suceava county, prosecutors identified requests for issuing documents in white, signed by the so-called “hosts“, But without the data of the beneficiaries being completed. The investigation is in full swing, and the authorities do not exclude new restraints or the extension of investigations on other persons involved.
