“I rarely use such words, but it would be an incredible scandal. I hope that there will be a reflection here” – emphasized the head of government.

The prime minister also referred to the criticism of wind energy on the part of the president.

“I understand that windmills are not the most beautiful element of the landscape, but they remain one of the cheapest available energy sources,” he noted.

As the prime minister emphasized, Poland needs solutions that will allow energy to provide energy in the next few months and years, not decades. “The current from the nuclear power plant will not go tomorrow and not in a month. This is an investment that will last years. Today we are looking for cheap energy sources that will be able to provide electricity in the next few dozen months, not several years” – added Tusk.

The Sejm adopted the amendment to the so -called windmill law, which, among others It reduces the minimum distance of wind turbines from buildings to 500 m. The Act also includes provisions on freezing energy prices by the end of the year at the level of PLN 500 net per MWh. Currently, freezing is valid until the end of September this year.

The amendment liberalizes the regulations regarding the construction of wind farms, including Also introducing the so -called Participatory Fund for the inhabitants of the neighborhood of future wind farms. During the second reading in the Sejm, the Polish 2050 amendment was introduced into the project, providing for the extension of freezing electricity prices for households for the fourth quarter of 2025. In accordance with current regulations, the price is frozen at the level of PLN 500 per MWH net MWh is valid until September 30. The Senate must still take care of the law.

President Andrzej Duda also asked last Wednesday about the law stated that Adding for it to freeze prices is an attempt to force him to sign up.

“I understand that, unfortunately, the prime minister and his colleagues, by throwing such an amendment, which is to protect Poles against increases in energy prices, simply tries to force me to sign on this act, putting me against the wall, but he must remember that I am already finishing my second term” – said President Duda.

He also noted that he personally is not a supporter of windmills, because the “landscape is more important to him than observing standing windmills everywhere”, but he supports other types of renewable energy. (PAP)
