Serious accusations at the second league level: Sergiu Rimovecz, 21 years old, central defender entered the circuit of the national youth, accuses the leaders of CSM Reșița of deceiving him to sign the extension of the contract due this summer. A scandal that involves one of the most important footballers of the team, the stop of Sergiu Rimovecz, disturbed the waters of CSM Reșița, a band that participated in the play-off of the previous Second League season.
In a press conference occasioned by the start of preparations for the new season, President Cristian Bobar and coach Flavius Stoican claimed that Rimovecz, former International U20, entered the circuit of the youth representative, would have refused presentation to reunion.
“A great disappointment to me is Rimovecz, with whom I had dozens of personal discussions. He promised to return. I saw that he was not in the locker room. Sources close to the club, however, create a completely different painting. Rimovecz would not have been presented at the reunion because he considered himself fooled by the club!
The footballer's camp accuses the representatives of the club that would have masked a contract extension as a wage increase. The player would have believed to sign a mere additional act of enlargement of the remuneration, when actually he tied his future to the resort for another two years.
“Sergiu didn't know it was an extension, they told him it was a mere act of wage enlargement. His contract had to end on June 30. They kept telling him that “and if you have offers, you cannot leave without our consent”, and he did not understand what he was referring to, since he thought he would remain free of contract, “said sources from the footballer's entourage.

Faced with the accusations that are brought by the footballer's camp, Cristian Bobar, the president of the club, offered his own point of view in the dialogue with gsp.ro:
“How do I have to fool him? First of all, it was like my child. I took him from a salary of 600 lei, reached 1,500 euros, and two weeks ago I discussed for another salary increase.
It is normal for each increase to extend the contract. He read the contract, he also has agent. It is a product of the club, I defended the club, but he has won financially all the time.
He is a major player, he knows what he signs. That is, he only read the amount in the contract, only that his salary was increased? It is normal for me, as an administrator, president of the club, to be careful that these players raised by us are linked to the club.
It seems to me a normal thing to protect the club, that the players raised by us have as long -term contracts. Well, what I'm doing now, I sign from 6 to 6 months and then I wake up for the player?”.
“He was offered a service apartment from the club, to pay absolutely nothing. It is with the money to date, but it simply did not present at the training! I have messages with him, in which he told me he returns to the training.
I had permanent discussions with him, he told me he would come to the meeting. I told him I would increase his salary again, just be the one who was. He told me he was coming. “
I think he is about two and a half years old, but I don't know exactly. The last extension took place this summer, when the salary was increased. At each increase of salary and the contract was extended.

Another dissatisfaction of the footballer is that in 2024, when U Cluj was interested in his services, the leadership of Resita rejected the offer made by the first division.
“The people of U Cluj were interested in him, indeed, but I believed much more in him. We really saw the new Chivu! He was a basic player, we wanted to hold him at least half a year here”Says Cristian Bobar.
From the newspaper information, CSM Reșița had set Rimovecz a price of 200,000 euros.
