“I am honored by the nomination made by PSD Buzău for the position of Minister of Health and I thank both my colleagues and to all the specialists in the medical system for the trust.
My soul mission is that of a doctor and I do not want, at this moment of my professional life, to give up being a doctor everyday.
I will continue to be a trusted partner of the medical system and I will remain the same promoter of the dialogue to identify the best solutions for this field and, especially, for Romanians who are waiting for quality and professionalism from the medical system.
In order to have no doubt: thank you all, but I chose to decline this nomination ”, the PSD senator transmitted.
Former PSD president Marcel Ciolacu supports Carmen Orban, his former government counselor, for the position of Minister of Health. In parallel, Carmen Orban is the head of ATI at the University Hospital in Bucharest. In the past, he also led Fundeni Hospital.
On the other hand, the president of the Timiş Judean Council, Alfred Simonis, supports Alexandru Rogobete for the Ministry of Health.
For two years, Rogobete was secretary of state in the Ministry of Health, in the mandate of Alexandru Rafila. At the December parliamentary elections he was elected deputy on the PSD Prahova lists and became the chairman of the Health Commission in the Chamber of Deputies.
