Sławosz Uznański-Wiśniewski will fly into space. Here is the price of the mission


On Saturday, a new message of Axiom appeared on the start of the mission to the International Space Station (ISS), in which Sławosz Uznański-Wiśniewski will take part. We read in it that NASA, Axiom Spacex consider the possibility of starting the AX-4 mission from Thursday, June 19. The Falcon 9 rocket flight has been postponed several times for various reasons.
Uznański-Wiśniewski will be the first Pole at ISS. As planned, he is to spend several days there. According to information provided by the Polish Space Agency (approx. PLN 278 million).

This amount consists of transport on the ISS on board the rocket, implementation of 13 scientific experiments, as well as an educational program for school students, which will be prepared by the Polish astronaut.

However, the money intended for this mission is only part of Poland's larger investment in the space sector. The plan developed by the Ministry of Development and Technology for 2023-2025 assumes the allocation of a total of EUR 360 million (approx. PLN 1.54 billion) for various purposes.

EUR 65 million from this sum will be spent on the mentioned flight of a Pole into space. Another EUR 85 million (approx. PLN 364 million) is allocated to the Camila project, i.e. the construction of the constellation of Polish observation satellites. The remaining EUR 200 million (approx. PLN 855 million) will go to increase the MRIT contribution to programs implemented by the European Space Agency.
