Nawrocki's first interview after the election. “I'm ready to cooperate”

President Elekt Karol Nawrocki declared on Thursday that he was ready to cooperate with Prime Minister Donald Tusk “in matters good for Poles.” At the same time, he noted that the head of government must be “strong reset” from the Presidential Palace.


Nawrocki was asked on Television WPOLSCE24 in his first post -election interview about the vision of cooperation with the Prime Minister. As he said, “of course in matters good for Poles, in matters that Poles are waiting for, he is and will be ready as a president to sit at one table with the prime minister of the Polish government.” At the same time, he emphasized his “very critical” attitude to Tusk.
“There are certainly some things that Poles are waiting for and this should be the result of the President and Prime Minister's conversation,” said Nawrocki.
President Elek, when asked about the possible “celebration” of the president by the government, pointed out that “he would not be able to take the competence of the President of Poland”, and the head of government must focus on “strong resistance” from the Presidential Palace.
Nawrocki said that he was thinking about “how to restore Poland to such a condition in which people trust the institutions of the Polish state and which fear does not rule.” “We should conduct a political dispute, because the political dispute is part of every democratic system, but it must have some limits” – he added.
Nawrocki: Dr. Rafał Leśkiewicz will be the future spokesman for the KPRP
“Dr. Rafał Leśkiewicz will be the press spokesman for the future president, who was my close associate at the Institute of National Remembrance,” said the winner of the presidential election Karol Nawrocki. “I encourage everyone to contact the President's future spokesman,” he added.
As Nawrocki pointed out, he will soon indicate the boss and deputy head of his office and the head of the future office. He also said that his office “would be balanced by experienced politicians on the one hand, and on the other hand his close associates who come from outside the political world at all.” Nawrocki pointed out that the presence of experienced politicians in his office is necessary because the example of Donald Trump's office showed that “people outside the world of politics, great, but sometimes they came into the faces that the world of politics brings.”
“That's why they need the support of experienced politicians with whom I had the opportunity to cooperate for the last 6 months, or those politicians with whom I previously cooperated as the president of the Institute of National Remembrance” – noted President Elekt.
Nawrocki: The head of the president's office – Paweł Szefernaker
“The head of my office will be Paweł Szefernaker, who during these 6 months (election campaign) proved himself as a new generation politician, a very experienced politician, but also very open to this social element,” said President Elekt Karol Nawrocki during an interview on Telewizja Republika.
Nawrocki also announced that Jarosław Dębowski, a collaborator of Nawrocki from the presidency of Paweł Szefernaker, will be a collaborator of Nawrocki from the presidency of the Institute of National Remembrance. “Jarosław Dębowski will be the deputy, who was my director of the President's office at the Institute of National Remembrance, and therefore a man completely outside of political life” – emphasized Nawrocki. He noted that he has “wide competences and great organizational possibilities”.
President Elek also added that Rafał Leśkiewicz will be the spokesperson of his office. “He is a great historian, but also a great spokesperson. At the Institute of National Remembrance, he did a lot of good work and made himself known from the good side” – noted Karol Nawrocki.
Nawrocki: I will have to meet with Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz; We will talk about the Polish army
In an interview at WPOLSCE24.pl, President Elekt Karol Nawrocki was asked about his “first words” to the deputy prime minister, head of the Ministry of National Defense Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz in the context of the president's function as a head of the armed forces. Nawrocki noted that with Kosiniak-Kamysz “they will have to meet, discuss the future of Poland and our security.” He emphasized that he would talk to him, among others According to statistics, about the dynamics of admission to the Polish Army, which – according to statistics, decreases, which worries him very much.
Nawrocki pointed out that as the head of the armed forces, he would ensure that at least 300,000 serve in the Polish army. soldiers and that “every soldier would be looked after, he had the best equipment that guarantees him the functioning in this honorable formation, which is the Polish Army.” He added that he will also take care of Poland's relations on the international arena. As he said, one of his priorities will be “defense and army”.
When asked about the first words he would address to Prime Minister Donald Tusk, Nawrocki replied that it would be: “see you”.
When asked about his first presidential foreign visit, Nawrocki expressed hope for a visit to Washington. Fached for the first legislative initiative, he pointed to “raising a civic project on the Central Communication Port”.
When asked about the first request to Donald Tusk's government, Nawrocki emphasized that he would like to organize the situation in international policy. “We must have ambassadors around the world to testify what Poland is and perform our tasks,” he noted.
