In the context in which the political parties in Romania would have agreed pto stop construction at 4 of the 6 new stadiums that were not started, those who could be harmed by stopping the development of new stadiums, among them and one of the main funders from Fc Argeș, Cristian Gentea (61 years old), the city's mayor.
The 4 stadiums to be stopped are: Dinamo, Constanța, Timișoara and Pitesti, in an attempt by the political parties to balance the national budget.

The project that provides for the construction of the “Nicolae Dobrin” Arena in Pitești has a value of 75 million euros. The initial plan was for the design to last 7 months, and the works about 29 months. The stadium should have had a capacity of 12,500 seats and be included in the UEFA 4 category with a mixed surface.
In April Cristian Gentea announced on Facebook that the first containers were located on the place where the new stadium would appear.
