Polish leader 2050 Szymon Hołownia announced on Tuesday that there will be changes in the party, which – in his opinion – are needed to improve its action. He also said that in the coming weeks Poland 2050 will talk to PSL about whether to continue the project of the third road. He also assessed that the proposal of PiS president Jarosław Kaczyński regarding the establishment of the technical government was to show that it was not the leader of the Confederation Sławomir Mentzen “deals with cards”.
During the Tuesday press conference in the Sejm, the Sejm Marshal Szymon Hołownia was asked if – as the Polish leader 2050 – he plans any changes in the party's management board.
Hołownia confirmed that the party is waiting for changes that are – he needed – needed. “These changes do not come from the desire to settle, because I have a great team with which I work very well” – he noted.
“The point is that after these four campaigns we already really know what works and what does not work, who can be part -time, and who can be full -time, who should be in Warsaw and who can be in the regions” – said the politician.
In his opinion, you need to “improve this machine and if there are any changes, they will only be dictated, and not by the desire to settle accounts, accusations, revenge, or some other stories.” “We just have to organize an efficient party and this is what we will do, also changes will be. However, they are not a form of assessing someone's work, but simply to improve the organization” – he noted.
Hołownia was also asked about the possible solution of the Political Coalition, the third road, appointed by Poland 2050 and PSL before the parliamentary elections in 2023. At the end of May, Polish MP Ryszard Petru said that he did not see the point of continuing the project of the third road.
Hołownia assessed on Tuesday that the decisions regarding the fate of TD had, in accordance with the agreement of both parties, to be taken “after the election trial”. “The last elections we have agreed have just taken place, so we will definitely talk to our friends from PSL in the coming weeks whether to continue this project, in what formula to continue it” – he said. He noted, however, that the decision in this matter has not yet been made.

Hołownia, asked by journalists about whether the failure of the joint candidate of the ruling coalition in the presidential election reduced Rafał Trzaskowski's chances, he answered. Hołownia also competed in the presidential election, in the first round he was the third road candidate. The politician expressed the belief that he as a coalition candidate would have a better chance of defeating Karol Nawrocki, but saying that he would definitely win would be an expression of pride.
As Hołownia emphasized, today the ruling coalition must move forward and not scratch the wounds, but to convince people. “We have to win in 2027 with Brauni and Mentzenas of this world. And we will win,” he said.
When asked whether the coalition would survive to the parliamentary elections in 2027, he answered in the affirmative. “There is no alternative for her in this Sejm. The coalition will rule Poland until 2027, and if we do our work well, convince people, show ourselves from the best side, we will rule and after 2027.” Hołownia said.
On Monday, the electoral commission announced the official results of Sunday voting in the presidential election. Karol Nawrocki obtained 10 million 606 thousand 877 votes (50.89 percent), while Rafał Trzaskowski 10 million 237 thousand 286 votes (49.11 percent). The attendance amounted to 71.63 percent

Hołownia referred to Kaczyński's idea on Tuesday's briefing. In his opinion, the PiS president made a tradition of proposing technical prime ministers. “This first technical prime minister was from the tablet, i.e. from a technical device, if I remember correctly. Yesterday it was without a device, but the prime minister is also to be technical. This is an idea in the field of political journalism,” said the Marshal of the Sejm, referring to the events of 2013; At that time, Piotr Gliński (current PiS MP) presented a team of 24 experts who were to create a technical government with him.
“A policy made at press conferences is not a policy. Come and show that you have a majority for a specific proposition, for a specific person,” Hołownia said.
In the opinion of the Speaker of the Sejm, Kaczyński, proposing the creation of a technical government, wanted to show that it was “not Sławomir Mentzen (Confederation) deals with cards.” “Kaczyński is trying to take the initiative at the moment at the hands of the confederation and this is in my opinion the whole back of this idea” – he added.
Hołownia asked if he is open to talks in this matter, he admitted that he never had the opportunity to talk to the PiS president. “Not only that, even the chairman (PiS club, Mariusz) Błaszczak does not talk to me, but sends his representatives” – he said.
Sławomir Mentzen referred to the idea of the head of PiS on Tuesday. “Jarosław Kaczyński's proposal, regarding the technical government and the end of the rule (Donald) Tusk, at first glance seems not to have any chances for the majority in the Sejm. However, if Kaczyński knows more than me and there is something to talk about, I invite you to the meeting. Let's discuss it.” – he wrote.
