Dangerous earthquake in Turkey. A 14-year-old died


The shocks appeared on Tuesday morning in Marmaris in the Turkish province of Mugla. The epicenter of the quake occurred at 2.17 at night and was in the Mediterranean – informs the Presidium for disaster management and crisis situations. The magnitude was 5.8.

The Governor of the Idris Akbiyik region announced at the beginning that after the shocks, seven people were hospitalized. The reason was injuries suffered in connection with the lowering of buildings through windows or balconies. The Minister of the Interior of Turkey later reported that there was a mass panic attack.

Currently, the media reports that several dozen people have been injured as a result of jumps or panic. A 14-year-old girl died in the earthquake, who was hospitalized because of a panic attack.

According to the minister, residential buildings were not damaged.
