June 2, 1944
On this day, Matisova Valentina Dmitrievna was born – an honorary citizen of the Jewish Autonomous Region.
From childhood, Valentina dreamed of becoming a builder, but she did not immediately decide the threshold of the personnel department of the construction department of the Birobidzhanstroy trust – at that time she was only 15 years old.

At the age of 26, Valentina Dmitrievna was set by the foreman. The brigade V. D. Matisova participated in the construction of the Dalselmash factories and power transformers, the hosiery, shoe and sewing factories, the houses of pioneers, the buildings of the Philharmonic, the Pension Fund, the Federal Security Service, and the maternity hospital. They also built in Obluchensky, Birobidzhansky, Smidovicsky districts, in particular, participated in the construction of the Kuldur resort, the sanatorium “Pearl of Hingan”, a silicate brick factory.

Valentina Matisova was elected as a deputy of the Birobidzhan City Council of People's Deputies, was a member of the trade union committee of Birobidzhanstroy OJSC.
For her long-term and conscientious work, Valentina Dmitrievna was repeatedly awarded the diplomas of the leadership of Birobidzhanstroy OJSC, the governor and the Legislative Assembly of the region, she was awarded the titles of “Master Golden Hands”, the winner of the IX-X Pyatelli, “The best plaster-machine Su-254 of the birobidzhanstroy. Valentina Dmitrievna was awarded Orders of labor glory of the II – III degree, medals “For Labor Distinction”, “Veteran of Labor”.
In 2007, being the oldest honorary builder of the region, Valentina Dmitrievna went on a well -deserved rest.
In 2012, a personal Web page of a resident of Birobidzhan Valentina Matisova was opened on the portal of the national labor glory hall. This project is implemented by the non -profit organization “National Center for Labor Glory” in the framework of the program “Labor Glory of Russia”.
In May 2017, Valentina Dmitrievna passed away.

The Bureau of the Regional Committee of the CPSU considered the issue of using equipment and the development of new equipment at the Dalselmash plant. It is noted that a large tool farm has been created at the factory, eight mechanized streaming lines to process the main mass parts, more than 60 types of new equipment and advanced technology were introduced. The existing equipment with its rational use can provide production of about 3 thousand combines per year. The adopted resolution defines specific measures to introduce and rational use of new equipment.

The Bureau of the Regional Committee of the CPSU also heard a report on the work of the Committee of Party-Governmental Control of the Birobidzhan district. The adopted resolution noted that the committee carried out work on the creation of groups and facilities for the promotion of Party -Control and improve their activities in enterprises and organizations of the district, created 29 groups and two assistance posts, which were delegated 179 people. The bureau recommended that the party and state control committee systematically summarize the experience of groups and assistance posts.

On this day, a memorial plaque was opened on the building of the regional newspapers in memory of the famous writer E.G. Kazakevich, who lived and worked in the editorial office of the newspapers “Birobidzhaner Stern” (12+) and “Birobidzhan Star” (12+).

Emmanuel Genrikhovich Kazakevich made a noticeable contribution to the creation of the art annals of the Great Patriotic War. His works are marked by the USSR State Prizes. Emmanuel Kazakevich was one of those who came here in the first years of the formation of the Jewish Autonomous Region, and the beginning of his life path and his literary activity were connected with the region.
At the opening of a memorial plaque to the writer in Birobidzhan on June 2, 1972, representatives of the city of the city, the oldest writers of the region, and journalists gathered.
Good words were made by the head of the culture department of the city executive committee B.P. Mazo, writer Boris Miller, head of the trade union library of the textile and cheat factory Galina Romanova. The poem of Isaac Bronfman “Memory” (0+) dedicated to E. Kazakevich read the student Anya Stavchanskaya.
