Eight journalists were arrested in Kyrgyzstan. Authorities accuse them of inciting the disobedience

The authorities for national security in Kyrgyzstan arrested eight current and former employees of the Kloop independent media institution, suspected of inciting revolt and non-advice, against the background of extended press in the central-Asian country, reports on Thursday, taken over by Agerpres.
The lawyers of the institution said that four journalists from Kloop-known for anti-corruption-were arrested on Wednesday after the authorities searched their apartments and confiscated their electronic equipment.
The arrests continued on Thursday.
They are accused of inciting mass disobedience and non -observance of government officials, for which they can receive punishments of up to 10 years in prison.
The head of the Presidential Administration, Dairbek Orunbekov, wrote on Social Media that the workers from the arrested media “spread false information” and published materials “oriented against the state”.
Rinat Tuhvatşin, co -founder of Kloop, said that the government's accusations are invented.
Syinat Sultanalieva, researchers for Central Asia within the Human Rights Watch non -governmental organization, has condemned the detention as “another example of the continuous repression of freedom by the Karbut authorities.”
