The incident occurred in the city of Gaomi at the Shandong Youudao Chemical plant around the south of local time (in the morning in Poland). Initially, the authorities did not inform about victims or destruction. It wasn't until the evening that the media reported that Six people were considered missing.
The explosion was so strong that it struck windows in a warehouse, more than 2 km from the factory – according to the recording made available on social media.
