The Ploieşti Petrolul Football Club announced on Friday that it was separated from technician Mehmet Topal.
“Ploieşti Petrol thanks Mehmet Topal for the entire activity done during this season. A collaboration we would have liked to take further, but unfortunately, our common road stops, at the moment, here.
The former Turkish international started his coach's career at FC Petrol Ploieşti, ticking two mandates between June and December 2024 and March-May 2025.
He was on the bench of “wolves” in 32 parties (11 wins, 13 draws and 8 rates), the team finishing the season in the 9th position in the superligation hierarchy.
Also, FC Petrol Ploieşti thanks Mehmet Topal's collaborators, Cafer Kaynar and Hamit Aykurt, who, in turn, ends their activity at the Prahovean club.
