Rob Worsoff, a Canadian immigrant, performed with the initiative to create such a reality show. The project is to be, in his words, a celebration of the values that are associated with being a citizen of the United States. “These are not the “Hunger Games” for immigrants” – said the originator. Immigrants would compete with each other in various competitions, including e.g. about American history and science.
The creators intended to take part in competitions related to, among others with US history and teaching. It seems that the project was noticed by the government, because the spokeswoman for the National Security Department of Tricia McLaughlin confirmed that she had met with Worsoff. As she said Currently, the case of the project is at “a very initial stage of the verification process”.

The idea aroused broad interest, although McLaughlin points out that the ministry receives dozens (or maybe even hundreds) of proposals every year that include documentary productions, educational campaigns or projects related to the security of borders.

However, Wrsoff is cut off from alleged contacts with Kristi Noem. He claims that he did not have the opportunity to talk to the head of the ministry, and he does not know if he personally knows the details of his idea. Despite this, he admits, he has already had preliminary talks with representatives of several television and obtained a positive response to his project.
What is noteworthy, Wrsoff's proposal is not new. As reported by “Wall Street Journal”, similar concepts were already presented to the US government during the administration of Barack Obama and Joe Biden.
