Higher pensions from July. Expansion of contributions will increase benefits by up to PLN 500
June valorisation of pension contributions, whose indicator will be 14.41 percent, applies to all insured persons whose contributions are on their individual accounts in ZUS. Family Minister Agnieszka Dziemianowicz-Bąk announced that although the indicator is slightly lower than last year's record of 14.87 percent, it still exceeds the level of June indexation of 2023, which amounted to 14.40 percent.
However, how high the index of fundamentalization of funds on accounts will not depend on the arbitrary decision of the family minister, or even the Minister of Finance or the Prime Minister. He depends by law on inflation and the footnote of contributions (wage growth and the number of insured persons) from the previous year. In the case of a sub -account at ZUS, however, the dynamics of GDP growth for the last five years is taken into account.
How will valorisation affect benefits?
A person who collected 500,000 PLN contributions, thanks to the new valorisation, an additional 72 thousand will gain. Experts asked by “Fakt” point out that the moment of retirement is crucial for the amount of benefits. Simulations show that people who decide to apply for a pension in July can gain up to several hundred zlotys per month.
