Russian Missile Strike Hits Kyiv, Causing Casualties and Damage

A ballistic missile strike launched by Russian forces hit Kyiv, leading to significant destruction and casualties. According to Mayor Vitali Klitschko, the attack claimed the life of a 21-year-old woman and injured at least eight others.
Debris from the strikes impacted a 25-story residential building in the Solomianskyi district, while in the Desnianskyi district, a medical center was hit, and a non-residential area sustained damage in the Dniprovskyi district. Furthermore, an educational institution was also reported damaged in Dniprovskyi.
The Kyiv City State Administration reported that the attack caused damage to surface metro stations and disrupted train services, affecting the “Chernihivska” and “Lisova” stations, which will be temporarily closed for entry and exit. Trains on the red line are currently operating between “Akademmistechko” and “Darnytsia” stations.
