Dinamo’s 27-year-old defender, Martin Pascual, has been suspended for the upcoming match against CFR Cluj after receiving a yellow card in the 28th minute of the match against FC Botoșani, which took place during round #12 of the Superliga.
This yellow card was Pascual’s fourth of the season, leading to his unavailability for the next match where Dinamo will face CFR Cluj.
Details of Pascual’s Suspension
Pascual received the warning from referee Rareș Vidican after he halted a promising attack from the visitors.
Previously, Pascual had been cautioned during the opening match against Petrolul, a draw with Corvinul in Arad, and a victory against Csikszereda.
Head coach Nuno Campos has several options to replace Pascual in the defense. Besides the regular starter Stoinov, he can choose from Imran Fetai and Matteo Duțu, who has only played 15 minutes in the current season.
Pascual joined Dinamo this summer from the Spanish club Mirandes and quickly established himself in the starting lineup, taking over from Kennedy Boateng.
In addition to his solid defensive performances, Pascual has also made significant contributions on offense, scoring five goals in 12 matches—a remarkable feat considering he had never scored in his career prior to joining Dinamo. Currently, he is the top scorer for Dinamo in this Superliga season and is valued at €650,000 according to specialist websites.
