Trump Affirms US Intelligence Support for Ukraine Amid Ongoing War

In a recent statement, former President Donald Trump confirmed that the United States remains committed to sharing intelligence with Ukraine amid its ongoing conflict with Russia. When asked whether Washington had halted intelligence exchanges with Kyiv, Trump responded firmly, “No, we haven’t stopped.”
Trump reiterated the US’s support, stating, “We want the war to end. We are helping them and sharing intelligence. We want the war to end. Therefore, we are working with them and with Russia to conclude this conflict.”
On October 13, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky highlighted that allies failed to notify Ukraine about a nighttime attack involving five Russian ballistic missiles on Kyiv. He stressed that intelligence on such missile launches is crucial for saving lives. The explosions occurred prior to the air raid alert announcement, and Yuriy Ihnat, head of the communications department of Ukraine’s Air Force, noted that the information regarding the ballistic launch from Russia did not arrive, suggesting it might have been due to technical issues.
Previously, The New York Times reported that during a meeting in Miami, American representatives urged Ukraine to cease strikes on Russian oil refineries while discussing intelligence support, which some attendees interpreted as a threat.
